2013 Ladies Member/Guest

#15 Green
Pink Flagstick

Green is typically the color of choice for the golf course maintenance staff, however, the 2013 Ladies Member/Guest had a theme of "Pretty in Pink".   This gave us a chance to add a different color to the course.  We accessorized the golf course with pink flagsticks, pink tee markers, pink and white flowers on the tees and our logo painted pink on the 1st and 10th tees.

We enjoyed giving the course a "make-over" for the day.  Our goal is to put our best foot forward when we are enternaining guests.

Trade Show Floor

This past week I attended the Golf Industry Show in San Diego, California.  The education and networking opportunities were endless.  Monday was a travel day, I spent the entire day Tuesday in a Seminar pertaining to Soils - The Foundation of Quality Turf.  Wednesday, I sat in on a discussion about the uses of Growth Regulators and their effect on green speeds.  Thursday was a day long trek through an expansive Trade Show that featured many new products and equipment aimed at making our jobs more efficient.  I want to thank the entire Membership for allowing me to take advantage of this extremely informative and useful experience.

We are beginning to see some wear and tear from the abudance of traffic on the golf course.  In our effort to maintain full access, I would like to remind everyone to "Take the Road Less Traveled."  This simply means, be aware of the wear patterns and choose a different route.  This may result in a longer drive to your ball, but it could also mean one more day without a "Cart Path Only" sign.  Thanks for your help.
